Football coaching sessions take place throughout term time on our high-quality 3G pitch. All sessions are delivered by professionally qualified, DBS-checked staff who bring extensive experience and a genuine passion for supporting young footballers. Our coaches focus on developing new skills, encouraging progression, and ensuring every participant enjoys a positive and engaging experience.

Football Coaching Academy
The YMCA Football Coaching Academy was established in 2004 and has continued to grow and develop ever since. We offer structured coaching sessions for boys from the age of 4 and for girls aged 6–11 years.
For players who demonstrate a strong interest in progressing into competitive football, we provide a clear development pathway. At the end of the summer term, children attending football coaching sessions have the opportunity to progress into the YMCA Junior Football Section and compete in the Harrogate and District League.
To support a smooth transition, an introductory meeting is organised to register players and teams, arrange kits, and introduce families to the coaches and team manager. The YMCA Junior Football Club currently runs teams from Under 9s through to senior level.
